Project 7------Final project

Due to time conflicts, I was unable to take test shots.

1st story idea is a boxing story.  I have a friend that is an amature boxer.  He regularly fights in charity events that raise money for fallen police officers and fire fighters.  He trains everyday for these fights.  It's been amazing to watch him on this journey to success.  I'm looking to capture his hardwork, dedication and lots of sweat on camera.  I'd also like to do this in black and white.  I think these shots will be great.

Shoot List
1. Equipment (gloves, shoes, jump rope, tape, headgear)
2. Mike (jump rope)
3. Mike (pull ups)
4. Mike (bag work)
5. Mike (shadow box)
6. Taping hands
7. Empty ring
8. Mike in ring fightine
9. Belts

2nd story idea is a Police story.

I'd like to show some of the work, I get to do as a police officer.  I love my job and have a lot of fun doing it.  I love that I get to help people, I also get to meet new people everyday.  I also get to see different and exciting things during my shift.

Shoot list
1. Uniform & Equipementcket
2. Cruiser
3. Radar
4. Writing ticket
5. Auto Accident/Fight
6. Foot pursuit
7. Paperwork
8. Jail
9. Clock in/Clock out

Henri Cartier-Bresson

                                                      1975-New York, Manhattan, Downtown

I chose this first photo because of the loneliness that I felt looking down this empty alley.  Just the guy and his kitten.  This photo is framed just right (from my perspective) and at the perfect distance to let you feel the loneliness.  The closing in of the walls, make me focus on just the guy and the kitten.

1947-New Jersey-Model Prison of Leesbury, Solitary Confinement

I found this photo to follow in the footsteps of Andre Kertesz, a photographer whom Cartier-Bresson studied.  There is a lot of mystery to this photo.  Who is the prisoner behind the jail door?  Why does he have just one arm, a hand and a leg sticking out?  I also think with the photo showing a good portion of the floor, its almost taunting to the prisioner, as if to say, "Here's the path to freedom, but you cant have it just yet."
